Julie Sponsler, MA, MFT, is a licensed psychotherapist who approaches therapy from a psycho-spiritual orientation. She views the challenges in our lives as opportunities for healing, learning and growth.
Julie is a down-to-earth, authentic and approachable therapist who creates a safe, loving space for her clients. Her style is highly compassionate, empathic and caring, yet at the same time she is able to appropriately and effectively challenge when needed.
Highly regarded by clients and co-workers, Julie has served many populations throughout her 15+ years in the therapeutic field. Today, she specializes in helping people with relationship issues, challenges with fulfillment in career, food/weight issues, depression, and anxiety. Inspired by her own process of healing and recovery from an eating disorder, Julie's approach with clients is experiential, active and empowering. She is committed to supporting clients in ultimately learning how to effectively manage inevitable life challenges without becoming dependent on therapy for long term well-being.
Julie earned her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from The University of Pittsburgh.
